Gamecocks Named Outstanding Academic Team by GCAA

Carolina has earned an academic team award every year since 2009

 NORMAN, Okla. — South Carolina men’s golf received Outstanding Team Academic honors from the Golf Coaches Association (GCAA), the organization announced, for having a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Gamecocks posted a 3.376 cumulative team GPA for the 2018-19 academic year.
 
Carolina was one of 121 NCAA Division I programs that submitted a team GPA of 3.0 or above, with 17 of those schools earning President’s Special Recognition Honors, finishing with a team GPA of 3.5 or higher.
 
The Gamecocks have earned team academic honors from the GCAA every year since the award was instituted in 2009.
