Gamecock Men's Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

COLUMBIA, S.C. —- South Carolina men’s soccer released its spring portion of the 2020-21 schedule Wednesday, head coach Mark Berson announced. After completing five games in the fall, the Gamecocks will take the pitch for one scrimmage and 12 regular season matches this spring.
 
Boasting a 3-2 record, Carolina is set for eight contests at Stone Stadium. The lone scrimmage of the year will take place on Feb. 3 with a 7:00 PM kick against Lander at home.
 
Conference USA announced this past fall that there will not be a conference tournament. 
 
“Our players, coaches and staff are excited to get the season underway,” Berson said. “We’ve got a great schedule and an opportunity to compete for the conference championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. We made great strides in the fall, and we’re looking forward to getting started on Feb. 3.”
 
Carolina kicks off the regular season portion of the spring on Feb. 7 with a 7:00 PM home match against North Florida. The first road trip is set for Feb. 21 with a 6:00 PM kick at Furman. The conference slate opens Mar. 6 as the Gamecocks play host to Marshall at 2:00 PM.
 
Regular season action closes in April with a match at FIU on Apr. 10 at noon before Carolina plays host to Kentucky on Apr. 17 at 2:00 PM to conclude the year.
 
South Carolina’s opponents come into the spring with a 6-7 record as UAB (1-6) and Kentucky (5-1) were the only other schools on the schedule to play matches this past fall.
