Gamecock Men’s Soccer Garners Academic Recognition From C-USA

IRVING, Texas – Twenty-four South Carolina men’s soccer players have earned recognition from Conference USA for their outstanding academic performances for the 2008-09 school year, the league office announced this week. Carolina’s achievements were highlighted by the effort of six student-athletes who received the Commissioner’s Academic Medal, earning a 3.75 cumulative GPA or higher throughout their career. Freshmen Jugal Dalal, Hunter Howayeck and Stephen Morrissey and sophomores Sam Arthur, Jimmy Maurer and Will Traynor each earned the Academic Medal.
