With USC Head Basketball Coach Dave Odom working as the starter for the 5K, a number of USC basketball coaches (including Odom) and the entire women’s team will run in the Boys and Girls Club 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 13.

Both teams are participating as part of the athletic department’s community service project – Team Gamecocks … Athletes Who Care.

The run begins at 9 am with registration running from 7 – 8:30 am. The run is a part of Boys and Girls 5K Family Day, held on the corner of Lincoln and Greene Streets in the DMV lot.

Afterwards the two teams will participate in the Family Day, which will include free and ticketed activities for kids, a Mascot Race with Cocky, a Dunking Booth and many other fun activities. Lunch will be provided by Church’s Chicken.

The basketball teams will also be on hand to help pass out the race awards and sign autographs.
