Carolina Begins Three Match Homestand
COLUMBIA, S.C.— After a month on the road, #15 South Carolina men’s tennis returns to Carolina Tennis Center to take on Presbyterian on Sat., Feb. 22, at 11 a.m.
The extended road stretch included a pair of wins in ITA Kickoff Weekend in Starkville, Miss., as the Gamecocks (6-3) knocked off #22 Oklahoma and #19 Georgia to advance to the 2020 ITA National Team Indoor championships for the first time under head coach Josh Goffi.
Gamecock Notables
- #38 Raphael Lambling and #115 Connor Thomson lead the Gamecocks with 20 singles wins this season. Thomson has the edge in dual-match play with a 6-1 mark, playing largely in the No. 4 spot in the lineup.
- Lambling, Thomson and #36 Daniel Rodrigues each of four wins over ranked opponents this season.
- The Gamecocks have won the doubles point five times in their nine dual matches this season.
Match Preview
- The Gamecocks are 17-10 all-time against Presbyterian, including a current 16-match win streak.
