COLUMBIA, S.C. – USC head football coach Lou Holtz will be involved in a pair of upcoming community activities in Columbia. On July 26, the coach holds his fifth annual ladies football clinic and on August 9, the coach hosts the Chick-fil-a 5K Run and Walk.
Lou Holtz’s Fifth Annual Ladies Football Clinic will be on Saturday, July 26 at the Carolina Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m., with lectures ending around 3 p.m. followed immediately by tours of Williams-Brice Stadium. The event is sponsored by Chick-fil-a and the Addam’s University Bookstore. Registration is first-come, first-serve and the fee is $35 per person.
Lou Holtz’s Chick-fil-a 5K Run and Walk is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 at Williams-Brice Stadium. The event kicks off the 2003 football season with the start and finishes lines at the stadium. After the race, participants can get a behind-the-scenes tour of Williams-Brice Stadium and watch the Gamecocks warm up for practice. Registration fees are $35 prior to August 2 (pre-registration) and $40 after August 2 with proceeds from the event going to the Holtz Charitable Foundation. Prize money and trophies will be presented to select finishers.
