EUGENE, ORE. – Following a week off after the regional meet, the Gamecocks head to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The meet begins Wednesday, June 10 and runs through Saturday.
Four individuals (two men, two women) will make the trip along with the men’s 4×1 and 4×4 relay team. It will be the first trip ever for sophomores Nakita Gray (high jump) and Markus Leemet (decathlon), the second trip for sophomore Jussi Kanervo (400mH) and the third and final opportunity for Jeannelle Scheper (high jump).
The men’s 4×1 relay made nationals for the seventh time in the last eight seasons, while the 4×4 makes its first appearance since 2011. The team will draw from a pool of Ryan Bermudez, Jermaine Collier, Clayton Gravesande, Jussi Kanervo, Kendall Kee, DeVon Lewis, Isaiah Moore, Chris Walker and Eric Winfrey to fill the two relay teams, with most already experienced at both distances.
The championships will be available all across the ESPN family of networks as the week progresses, be sure to follow the schedule below for all air times and networks.
