COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s and women’s soccer programs have partnered to announce a joint season ticket for the 2014 season. For the price of $25 for adults and $10 for youth (17 and under), fans can double their opportunities to see the Gamecocks play, with each program hosting 11 regular season contests for a total of 22 matches at Stone Stadium.

As an added incentive, anyone who purchases a season soccer ticket will also receive a free Gamecock soccer scarf.

Matches against intrastate Clemson and a pair of doubleheaders highlight the 2014 schedule. The men take on the archrival Tigers on Tues., Sept. 2, and the women three days later on Fri., Sept. 5.

The first doubleheader comes on Fri., Aug. 29, with the women taking on Boston University before the men face Belmont in their home regular season opener.

Almost a month later, the teams play their first home conference matches on Friday Sept. 26. Shelley Smith’s team contests their first home SEC match against Missouri before Mark Berson’s squad takes the pitch to open Conference USA play against Marshall.

In his 37th year at the helm of the South Carolina men’s soccer program, Berson has yet again put together a challenging schedule for his young team. Clemson (Sept. 2) and Charlotte (Oct. 4) visit Stone Stadium and are two of six total teams on the Gamecocks’ schedule that went to the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

Smith’s team will look to build off a 17-4-2 season and final ranking of No. 15. The Gamecocks did not drop a match at The Graveyard last season and will look to extend their 11-game home winning streak.

Fans can purchase tickets online at GamecocksOnline.com, or by calling the Gamecock Ticket Office at 1-800-4SC-FANS.
