Head Coach Chad Holbrook
Opening Statement…
It feels good another double digit scoring output for us from a hitting standpoint and a running standpoint. LB [Dantzler] obviously had a great day 3-for-3 with six RBIs and two home runs. Max Schrock and Kyle Martin also swung the bat well tonight. We feel good about the way we swung the bat today. I was impressed with Joel Seddon, Curt Britt and Vince Fiori, I thought they all threw the ball really well. It was very encouraging the way Vince threw the ball, it helps us with another lefty out of the bull pen going forward. We sit up here 15-2, we’ve played 17 games and we have played well for the most part. SEC play starts and I think our players are very excited to get that part of the season started.

On what he knows about Missouri…
I don’t know too much about them, other than the fact they won the Big 12 Championship last year and are an NCAA tournament team from a year ago. They will start a pitcher on Friday that’s beaten a lot of good people. He was a high draft pick that turned down a lot of money to go to school, I know he threw very well last weekend against San Francisco, and you look at the people he beat last year and it looks like he can be dominate. It’s a team that has won a championship with some older guys and we are playing on the road. We are facing an elite pitcher on Friday so we will certainly have our work cut out for us.

LB Dantzler
On his performance today…
I was seeing the ball pretty well, but I’ve always said you can’t drive in the runs if they aren’t on base and I think Joey [Pankake] was on base for both of them. I also need to give Connor [Bright] a shout out, he was crushing the ball today. I’m just glad to get the win.

On how well the team as a whole is hitting…
I think the whole year we knew we had it in us. We got off to a slow start and maybe had some nerves. I think it’s great going into SEC play that we’re hitting this well and I hope we can keep it going.

Joey Pankake

On his comfort level…
I’m seeing the ball pretty well right now but we are going to see some tough pitching during SEC play, not that we haven’t now but we are going to have some tough pitching ahead.

On starting SEC play…
We are going keep trying to play the same game we’ve been playing. We are going to go all out and try to score some runs.

Joel Seddon
On his first start…
I was just happy to get the opportunity to go out there and get the start. My first couple of appearances didn’t go so well so it was good to stay out there a little longer. I did have a bit of a slow start but I think I got stronger as the game went on.
