On scoring a 10 runs tonight…
As you saw tonight as team we hit very well. Joey [Pankake] had a big home run as did Conner [Bright]. We know we can hit like this as a team, we’ve been struggling a little bit but hopefully tonight gives us some confidence as we get ready for Kentucky this weekend.
On how he felt he performed tonight…
Coming back from the wrist injury I might have tried to come back a little too quickly. It started to feel better and when you are facing the best pitching in the country you just have to get used to it. You have to change your approach from time to time and I’m starting to get used to it and get a little better.
Forrest Koumas
On his performance tonight…
I felt good coming out. In the third inning I didn’t get ahead like I had the first two innings and when you don’t get ahead you’ve got to start throwing fast balls and they are a good hitting team.
On how his elbow I feeling…
I feel good. I am almost a year out of surgery. No pain at all, its just a little bit of a different arm motion. I’m just trying to be consistent and hit my spots.
Connor Bright
On his performance tonight…
I feel pretty comfortable right now and I’m just trying to see the ball and hit the ball. I try not to do anything special, because once you start thinking too much it can go down hill. Just trying to clear my mind, forget about bad at bats, and just go get the next one.
On how he feels compared to a year ago…
It’s a little different. I’m getting some consistent chances, and getting more reps definitely helps. But there is a little difference between this year and last year.

Opening Statement…
It was obviously a good win for us coming off a tough week. Last week I thought we swung the bat very well, with 14 hits and 10 runs. Graham [Saiko] obviously had a great game, Joey [Pankake] swung the bat very well, and then Conner [Bright] had a home run and a double. It was a good win. We pitched five guys, and we had some good at bats. For the most part we played pretty good defense, Joey had another error but he also made three or four very nice plays. So all in all it’s good to get a win and get that bad taste out of our mouth.
On getting this kind of offensive production every game…
I don’t know about day in day out. We have swung the bats well since the end of the Texas A&M series and the way we swung the bat at Tennessee. We put some hits on the board at Florida but we just didn’t get any big ones. We have swung the bat pretty well lately. I think our team batting average has gone probably from 260 to around 285. We’ve put together some games offensively and it was good to see. We have hit the ball out of the park too and that’s not bad.
