COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina rising junior swimmer Amanda Rutqvist had a strong showing in the 200 breaststroke on Thursday at the Swedish Nationals as she swam to a fourth-place finish in the finals with a time of 2:30.92.

Rutqvist, who earned All-America honors in the event for a second straight year at the NCAA Championships, advanced to the finals with a time of 2:33.47, which was the third best time in the preliminaries.

A native of Gothenburg, Sweden, Rutqvist is the Gamecocks’ top breaststroker and a three-time All-American.
