Fifteen former Gamecock football players showcased their skills for NFL scouts on Wednesday at the University of South Carolina’s annual Pro Timing Day.
Those who took part in the activities were Antonio Allen, Jason Barnes, Terrence Campbell, Stephen Garcia, Stephon Gilmore, Melvin Ingram, Alshon Jeffery, Marty Markett, Kyle Nunn, Rodney Paulk, Travian Robertson, Joey Scribner-Howard, Rokevious Watkins, C.C. Whitlock and Jay Wooten.
The event began in the weight room, where the players were measured for height and weight. The players then posted marks in the vertical jump and standing broad jump, before finishing with the bench press.
The venue then moved to the Williams-Brice Stadium field where the players were timed in the 40-yard dash, three-cone drill and shuttle run before wrapping up the day with individual position drills.
Marty Markett was impressive in the jumps, posting a 40 ½ inch vertical leap and a 10-foot, 10-inch standing broad jump. Terrence Campbell showed his strength by bench pressing 225 pounds 34 times.
