The University of South Carolina football team rose three notches in the Associated Press poll to number 15 in the country, and one spot in the USA Today/Coaches poll to number 13, it was announced today.
The Gamecocks (5-1, 3-1 SEC) are coming off a convincing 54-3 rout of the Kentucky Wildcats. Up next for Carolina is a trip to Starkville to face the Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-3, 0-3 SEC) in a 12:21 pm ET start on Saturday, Oct. 15.
The Gamecocks will return to the practice fields Monday night at 7 pm.
