There are multiple parking options available. There is a free public parking deck located at 2122 Devine Street. Metered spots are also available around Five Points and multiple University parking garages are located within walking distance.

Gamecocks of past, present and future are invited to Paint the Town Garnet & Black as we celebrate this year’s Homecoming with a Block Party and Pep Rally! Join us, for this free event that is open to the public, in Five Points at the corner of Harden Street and Saluda Avenue on Friday, October 28 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The event will feature live music by the winner of campus’ Battle of the Bands competition and the funkiest band around, The Root Doctors; VIP appearances, games for kids of all ages, merchant sidewalk sales and specials.

What should I wear to Paint the Town Garnet & Black?
While there is no dress code, we encourage you to put on your best Garnet & Black Gamecock gear! The event is outdoors, so be sure to check the weather and dress accordingly.

Do I need a ticket?
No ticket is required! The event is free and open to the public.

What businesses will be open?
Five Points businesses will be operating during their normal Friday hours, with some businesses choosing to remain open later in the night for the event. You can find the full list of Five Points businesses here.

Is there a lost and found?
If you have lost any of your belongings, please visit one of the black Homecoming tables on the sidewalk during the event. After the event, please contact us at sahcvpe@mailbox.sc.edu and we will help as best as we can.

What disability accommodations are in place?
Reserved parking can be found at meters throughout Five Points for those with the necessary tags. The event space is wheelchair-accessible and safe for people of all ages. Please be aware that there will be crowds and loud noises, and we encourage you to take any precautions you see fit.

Animals are not permitted at the event with the exception of service animals.
