Jeff Dillman

Jeff Dillman is in his fourth year in Columbia guiding the strength and conditioning program for South Carolina Football. Dillman was named Director of Football Strength and Conditioning on December 14, 2015.

Dillman joined the Gamecocks after spending one season as an assistant strength & conditioning coach at Alabama. He was part of the staff that helped the Crimson Tide to the 2016 national championship. Prior to that, he worked on Head Coach Will Muschamp’s staff at the University of Florida for three years as the Director of Strength & Conditioning.

Prior to his arrival in Gainesville, Dillman worked at the IMG Performance Institute in Bradenton. As the Head of Physical Conditioning at IMG Academies, Dillman oversaw the strength and conditioning programs for all youth, adult, collegiate and professional athletes who trained at the Academy, including NBA and NFL offseason workouts, NFL Combine training and the Madden Football Academy.

Dillman’s professional career began as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at UL-Monroe beginning in 2001, working with nine different teams over his tenure with the Warhawks.

In 2003, he was hired as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at LSU and helped the Tigers to several notable achievements, including an SEC and BCS National Championship for the football team, Final Four appearances for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams and a College World Series trip for the baseball team. He also worked with men’s and women’s tennis and gymnastics.

In 2006, Dillman took over the strength and conditioning program at his alma mater, Appalachian State. He helped the football program to two-straight Division I-AA national championships (2006-07) and the historic upset of No. 5-ranked Michigan in 2007.

A native of Rockingham, N.C., Dillman was a football letterman at Elon College before he transferred to Appalachian State University, where he completed his football eligibility. He earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2001.

Dillman is a member of the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association and the American Football Coaches Association. He is certified by the National Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (NSCA).

He and his wife, Jeanne, have two children, twins Cole and Olivia.
