COLUMBIA, S.C. – The University of South Carolina, host for the 2002 SEC Women’s Tennis Tournament April 18-21, announced tournament pairings and match times Monday.

The tournament begins Thursday morning with first round action at both USC tennis facilities, the Sam Daniel Tennis Center and Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center. Matches will be held at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at both sites.

Second round competition follows the same schedule as day one, with the top four seeds seeing their first action of the tournament after receiving a bye in round one.

Saturday’s semifinal matches will both be held at Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with the tournament championship match set for Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Maxcy Gregg.

First Round — Thursday, April 18

Match No. 1 — #8 Ole Miss vs. #9 Alabama — 10 AM — Sam Daniel

Match No. 2 –#6 Auburn vs. #11 Miss. State — 10 AM — Maxcy Gregg

Match No. 3 –#5 Tennessee vs. #12 Arkansas — 2 PM — Sam Daniel

Match No. 4 –#7 Kentucky vs. #10 LSU — 2 PM — Maxcy Gregg

Second Round — Friday, April 19

Match No. 5 –#1 Georgia vs. Winner of Match No. 1 — 10 AM — Maxcy Gregg

Match No. 6 –#3 Vanderbilt vs. Winner of Match No. 2 — 10 AM — Sam Daniel

Match No. 7 –#4 South Carolina vs. Winner of Match No. 3 — 2 PM — Maxcy Gregg

Match No. 8 –#2 Florida vs. Winner of Match No. 4 — 2 PM — Sam Daniel
