COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s tennis won six of nine singles matches and all four of its doubles matches to set up a Carolina-laden championship round Sunday at the 2001 Lady Gamecock Fall Classic.

In singles action the Gamecocks’ Jennifer Radman, Lynn-Yin Tan, Magda Wojdyto and Catherine Brown each won semifinal matches Saturday. Radman, a 6-1,6-3 winner over Greensboro’s Orellana will face Georgia Tech’s J. Wong Sunday in the A Draw title match. Tan, a winner of two matches Saturday, will face Tech’s L. Ozolins in the B Draw final. In the C Draw, Wojdyto and Brown will square off against each other for the first time in an all-Gamecock final.

In doubles action, Carolina was a perfect 4-0. No. 8 Radman/Kathy Boyanovich beat Georgia Tech’s Wong/Roberson 8-5 in the A Draw while No. 47 Tan/Jodi Kenoyer beat Wilmington’s McCrae/Bullard 8-3. In the doubles C Draw, there will be another all-Gamecock final as Brown/Audrey George advanced with an 8-3 win over Wilmington’s Wyeth/Kiser and Katarina Markovski/Magda Wojdyto beat Miller/Kiehna 8-2.

Play continues Sunday at the Maxcy Gregg Tennis Center in Columbia.
