Head Coach Ray Tanner: “Dan Touchet is the story of the night as far as I’m concerned. He did a tremendous job for Miami giving them the chance to win the game. We had a couple of opportunities with runners on and just didn’t come through. Chris Spigner did a tremendous job for us trying to give us a chance to come back and get into that game. I would like to have had ten (runs) again tonight we just didn’t make it happen.”
On Game 3 against Miami: “I’m not concerned about what happened the past two years. I’m not concerned about anything but tomorrow’s game. You have to win this game or you hang up the bats. We’re going to come out and do the things we think we can do and hopefully that will be good enough. All I can do is be sleepless and hope we can do it tomorrow.”
