Columbia, S.C. – After one round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate in Dalton, Ga. the University of South Caorlina stands in 15th place. The Gamecocks shot ten-over-par 298. Southeastern Conference foe Florida is on top of the leaderboard, followed by East Tennessee State and UNLV.

After blasting a score of 70, Michael Maness is leading the Gamecocks after the first day of competition. Maness is in a six-way tie for seventh place.

West Streib is second on the team after shooting 75. Streib stands in 52nd place while sophomore Martin Rominger placed 56th. Alex Hamilton and Eirik Johansen both shot 77 to tie for 66th.

Round two of the three-day event begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28.
