COLUMBIA, S.C.- For the second time in consecutive meets women’s cross country runner Jenny Lake took the individual title while setting a course record. Lake’s time of 18:55 in the 5K race, shattered the old course record by 15 seconds at The Citadel Invitational in Charleston, S.C. South Carolina’s times continued to improve as their 61 points was enough to garner them second place.

Furman won the invitational held at James Allen County Park with a score of 28. College of Charleston and Charleston Southern tied for third with 79 points. The rest of the field was South Carolina State 150, The Citadel 156, and Savannah State 193.

Senior co-caption Kinsey Eschenburg also continues to run well, as she finished in the top ten for the second straight weekend.
