USC’s men’s basketball team will play its final non-conference game before starting SEC play Jan. 8, when it hosts The Citadel Jan. 2 in Columbia at 7:00 pm. USC is 71-
23 against The Citadel, including a 73-57 win in Columbia last season. USC
has won eight straight over the Bulldogs, dating back to 1988 when it lost
an 87-88 game in Columbia. Prior to that, USC had won 35 straight.
The Citadel is 4-5 this season, dropping its last game, 55-64, at Central
Florida.

In the two teams only common opponent, South Carolina State, The Citadel lost 66-78 in Charleston to SCSU on Dec. 21.

The Citadel game will be carried on the radio airwaves by the Gamecock Sports Network. Charlie McAlexander (play-by-play) and Casey Manning (color) will call the action on more than 25 stations in the Palmetto State and world-wide on the internet at
www.uscsports.com.

The game will be shown on television on ComCast regionally with Mike
Morgan calling the action and Wimp Sanderon working as the color analyst.
