Indianapolis, Ind. – Fresh off success at the Georgia Diving Invitational, the University of South Carolina men’s and women’s divers are competing this weekend at the Speedo American Cup. Sophomore Andy Bradley has qualified for the finals of the American Cup on the men’s side, placing seventh in preliminary competition with a score of 339.60. Sophomore women’s divers Allison Brennan, Lauren King and Tracey Richardson all qualified for the women’s event and will begin competition tomorrow.

Bradley will compete tomorrow for the American’s Cup in a 1-8 bracket tournament. Bradley is the No. 7 seed and will compete vs. the No. 2 seed. Bradley has gained a point towards qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Trials. The winner gains an additional point (two needed to reach Olympic Trials) and will also compete at the 2002 World Cup. Along with Bradley, sophomore Dean Emmerton also competed in the three-meter preliminary. Emmerton finished in 18th place with a score of 293.19.
