Columbia, SC- The South Carolina men’s tennis team was honored with a No. 22 national ranking in the Omni Hotel National Rankings released Thursday. The nationally ranked Gamecocks will open the dual match season with doubleheader action against Winthrop and Charleston beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the USC Indoor Facility.

The Gamecocks retained their No. 22 ranking from the previous poll by closing out a solid fall season at the SEC Indoor Championships. The 2003 squad features three nationally ranked players: Seth Rose, Angelo Niculescu, and Marcus Westman.

Saturday’s competition will begin with Winthrop vs. USC at 10:00 a.m., followed by USC taking on Charleston at 2:00 p.m. Both Saturday dual matches will be Region II contests.
