Columbia, S.C. – The Southeastern Conference office released the 2003 Non-Championship Sponsored Academic Honor Roll today and the University of South Carolina men’s soccer team placed seven players on the honor roll. A total of 29 student-athletes were named to the 2003 SEC Non-Championship Sponsored Academic Honor Roll.

Gamecocks making the honor roll were Michael Bachmeyer, Jack Cummings, Tim Glowienka, Chris Herron, Dave Moore, Ryan Stocking and Anthony Vitagliano. Bachmeyer and Vitagliano are four-time recipients of this honor.

Currently, the Southeastern Conference sponsors and holds championships in 20 intercollegiate sports. However, several of its institutions sponsor and compete in NCAA sports for which the Southeastern Conference does not sponsor nor host a championship. The 2003 Non-Championship Sponsored Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2001-02 calendar.
