Columbia, S.C.- After a series sweep at Alabama the South Carolina baseball team is back into the national polls. In the polls released today the Gamecocks are 19th and 20th in the Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball News, respectively. South Carolina is also ranked 21st in the Sports Weekly/ABCA Coaches poll.

South Carolina has won seven games in a row and ten out of their last 12 to raise its record to 35-17 overall and 16-11 in the Southeastern Conference. The Gamecocks have clinched at least a share of the SEC East title.

South Carolina will be back in action at Sarge Frye Field on Wednesday, May 14th against The Citadel at 7;00 P.M. The SEC regular season will conclude with a home weekend series versus Georgia beginning Friday, May 16th at 7:00 P.M.
