Columbia, S.C. – University of South Carolina men’s golfer Eirik Johansen fired a one-under-par 141 to leave him in a tie for 10th place after two rounds of the Western Refining All-American Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas.

Johansen shot a two-under-par 69 in the first round to leave him just three strokes out of the lead. Johansen’s second-round 72 puts him 12 strokes out of the lead after Arizona’s Chris Nallen fired a record-setting second-round 63 to get him to 13-under-par for the tournament. Nallen’s 63 tied the previous record held by South Carolina’s Eric Ecker (1998) and Florida’s Guy Hill (1992).

The tournament, which is being played at El Paso Country Club, will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday.
