Dallas – The South Carolina Swimming & Diving team completed the first day of competition in the Dallas Morning News Swimming & Diving Classic hosted by Southern Methodist University in fourth place.
Competing against some of the top teams in the country today proved to be challenging for the Gamecocks. Senior, Istvan Bathazi stepped up to the challenge and led the way for South Carolina with a second place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 3:53.92.
The Gamecocks(132) return to the pool tomorrow in fourth place behind Florida(174), Texas A&M(166) and SMU(162). Action is set to start at 8:30 p.m.(EST).
