Can you see USC basketball forward Carlos Powell putting up a light fixture? How about the women’s team holding the ladder?
The USC men’s and women’s basketball teams will help Habitat for Humanity on Friday, Sept. 24 from 3:30 – 6:00 pm. They will assist in putting the finishing touches on a home being built in the NE Columbia.
The men’s team will begin practice Monday, Sept. 27 as they will travel to Canada Oct. 13-17 for a foreign tour where they will play in Ottawa and Montreal.
The teams are working with Habitat for Humanity as part of USC’s Team Gamecocks program.
The house will be auctioned off in October with the funds being donated to Habitat for Humanity housing project. The auction is set tentatively for Oct. 1, 2004.
