COLUMBIA, S.C. – The postseason honors continue to roll in for Brad Guzan. Guzan, a sophomore on this year’s University of South Carolina men’s soccer team, was selected as one 11 College Most Valuable Players by Soccer America. The Homer Glen., Ill, native also earned All-South Region and All-America honors following the season, which saw the Gamecocks make the NCAA Tournament for the 17th time in school history.
Guzan, a goalkeeper, served as a team captain in 2004 and registered a 1.34 goals-against average and five shutouts for USC. He also collected 104 saves during the campaign, the third-most ever in a season by a Gamecock goalkeeper.
