“I was glad to see us swing the bats. We threw up two four-spots in the first and second today. Longwood is used to winning and they are well-coached. No disrespect to the opposition but when you are a top-10 program and you are playing at home, this is what you are supposed to do. I was encouraged by Forrest Beverly’s performance. Number one, I thought he looked healthy out there. He threw the ball well. I was happy to see him get out of a jam early on.”
