Athens, Ga. – After Saturday’s second round at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic played at the par-72 University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, the South Carolina women’s golf team sits in a tie for 11th place with a team score of 313-310=623.

Freshman Caroline Rominger leads the Gamecocks with a 74-75=149 to sit in 11th on the individual leader board. Senior Tiffany Catafygiotu fired a five-over-par 77 for the second consecutive day and is tied for 31st with a 77-77=154.

Junior Erica Battle and sophomore Jenna Pearson both shaved two strokes off their first-round scores and are tied for 66th with identical 81-79=160 scores heading into Sunday’s final round. Freshman Blythe Worley rounds out the Carolina lineup with an 84-84=168.

Final round action will be played Sunday.
