Atlanta, Ga. – Fresh off a strong start on day one, the USC men’s and women’s divers continued their success on day two of the NCAA Zones competition. Coming off a first place performance on the three-meter board last night, senior diver Lauren King had another strong day taking third place on the one-meter with a score of 285.35. Carolina had three women finish in the Top 7 including junior Tracey Richardson, who was sixth at 273.70 and senior Holly Hodges in seventh place at 270.65. Lyndsey Havens also finished 12th for the Gamecocks with a score of 265.70.

A day after qualifying for the NCAA men’s championships, senior diver Andy Bradley placed 11th on the three-meter board with a score of 520.05. Senior Dean Emmerton was right behind him in the finals in 14th place with a score of 511.70. Junior Ian Balman also competed in the preliminaries for Carolina.

The NCAA Zone Diving Championship meet qualifies 13 men and 11 women for the NCAA Championships. The diving meet will continue on Sunday with the platform events. Richardson and Hodges are close to earning spots at the NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships that begin next week.
