Columbia, S.C. –
South Carolina’s cross country team traveled to Boone, N.C. on Thursday to compete in the Blue Ridge Mountain Open, hosted by Appalachian State University on Friday, October 14th at 5 p.m.

The Gamecocks with be competing against regionally ranked Davidson (top-10 Southeast), Appalachian State, Western Carolina, Elon, UNC Greensboro, North Carolina’s “B” squad, Texas, High Point, Gardner Webb, Milligan College, King College and UNC Wilmington.

The team was originally scheduled to compete in Terre Haute, Ind. for the NCAA Pre-Nationals, but rescheduled to compete in the Blue Ridge Open in preparation for the SEC Championship they will host at Hilton Field at Fort Jackson on October 29th.
