Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams continue regular season competition on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 12 Noon as the Gamecocks host College of Charleston and Gardner Webb at the Carolina Natatorium. The USC men’s team will face College of Charleston in dual meet action with members of the women’s team facing both the Cougars and Gardner Webb. Several of the USC women’s swimmers are also on the road competing at the SMU Women’s Classic that begins on Friday evening.

“This should be a good meet for our team against quality competition,” said USC head coach Don Gibb. “The women’s squad will be down eight swimmers and a diver, so it will be a bit of a test for our team against two other squads and not having the depth that we are usually have.”

In all of the individual events on the women’s side, each team will be allowed three swimmers per heat. Both the USC men and the USC women are 0-2 on the season.
