Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina junior midfielder Annie Galloway and senior defender Erin Geldhof each have been named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District (III) team as announced on Thursday morning (November 2). Galloway was a first team selection with Geldhof earning second team honors. Galloway will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America honors that will be released later in November.

Galloway has maintained a cumulative 4.0 grade point average in her first two years at Carolina, been named to the President’s List four times and was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll last year. She is currently pursuing a degree in biology. Galloway has started 13 of 20 games this year and has four goals and one assist on the season.

Geldhof, a co-captain on this year’s team, has started 16 of 18 games played at the left fullback position and has scored one goal and tallied one assist on the year. Geldhof has been named to the Dean’s List at Carolina in her first six semesters as well as a two-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll. She is currently pursuing a degree in biology as well.
