Columbia, S.C. – South Carolina junior midfielder Annie Galloway (Spartanburg, S.C./Spartanburg HS) has been named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America second team as announced on Tuesday morning (November 21). This is the second consecutive year that a Carolina player has earned Academic All-American honors. Last season, Kimmy Criss received second team recognition as well.

A first team Academic All-District recipient, Galloway has maintained a cumulative 4.0 grade point average in her first two years at Carolina, been named to the President’s List four times and was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll last year. She is currently pursuing a degree in biology. Galloway started 15 of 22 games this year and has four goals and one assist on the season.
