On Sunday, Jan. 14, the South Carolina Cheerleading squad hosted 112 young girls for the third annual Carolina Cheerleading Clinic at the Colonial Center.
Under the direction of head cheerleading coach Erika Goodwin and the Colonial Center’s Sarah Buscher, young girls from across the city were invited to learn the official South Carolina cheers, which they performed at halftime of the Gamecock women’s basketball game against Alabama. The participants also sat in the stands behind the USC cheerleaders during the game to help cheer. The Colonial Center provided a t-shirt and meal voucher to all who attended.
