Penn Relays weekend is always special in Philadephia for the Gamecocks. This year it was even more special. After wrapping up three Championship of America relay wins and an individual win in Jussi Heikkila in the 400m hurdles, The University of South Carolina Alumni Club – Delaware Valley held a reception for the USC track team and coaches on Saturday, April 28 in conjunction with the track team’s participation in the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.

The reception was held at Dave and Buster’s. Over 30 alumni and family members welcomed approximately 50 athletes and coaches. The athletes and coaches were treated to a buffet dinner followed by billiards, table shuffle board and video games. A special thanks goes to The University of South Carolina Alumni Club – Delaware Valley and Kevin Lahn, Adam Eccles, Brian Laslo and Barney Quigley, who did an excellent job of organizing and sponsoring the event.
