COLUMBIA, S.C. –
The Gamecocks’ scheduled contest for Wednesday against North Carolina was cancelled today due to likely unplayable field conditions at Anderson Stadium after Chapel Hill was blanketed in snow Sunday night. The game will not be made up this season.

This is the second consecutive year the Gamecocks and Tar Heels have been forced to cancel their annual meeting.

South Carolina returns to action on Saturday with the Southeastern Conference lid-lifter against No. 2 Florida. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. for Saturday’s doubleheader at Beckham Field.
