COLUMBIA, S.C. – Track and field fans that were not able to make the trip to College Station last week can watch South Carolina’s Lakya Brookins win the 60m dash title tomorrow as the NCAA Indoor Championships will be broadcast on ESPN2 from 2:30-4 pm.
Brookins became the first 60m dash champion in South Carolina history with her run of 7.13, the second-fastest time run in the world this year. The run was an NCAA meet record and shattered the South Carolina school record. Brookins finished over a tenth of a second faster than the second place finisher from Texas by blowing by the field with a strong jump out of the blocks.
