COLUMBIA, S.C. – The fall scrimmages continue for South Carolina’s softball team, as it faces USC Aiken in a doubleheader on Friday, Oct. 2, with first pitch set for 5 p.m.

The Gamecocks, playing fall exhibitions for the first time in many years, downed Spartanburg Methodist College in its first doubleheader last week, with Lindsay Walker ranking as the offensive star with her two doubles and two RBI. Freshman Hannah Milks also had two stolen bases on the day.

The Pacers made the NCAA Division II Tournament last season for the first time in program history, finishing the season 12th in the NFCA rankings. Four seniors are back from last year’s 34-16 squad, including second-team all-region pitcher Toni Flessate.

Admission is free at Beckham Field for all fall games.
