ROCK HILL, S.C. –
Today’s scheduled softball game between South Carolina and Winthrop has been postponed due to the rain and snow that moved through the Rock Hill area last night. No make-up plans have been determined yet.

South Carolina has now seen four games cancelled and another one adjusted due to the unusually wet start to softball season. Games versus College of Charleston, Furman, Charleston Southern and Campbell were lost thanks to snow and rain during February. One inch of snow accumulated in Rock Hill, postponing the start of the day at Winthrop University by two hours.

The Gamecocks now get ready to face some stiff competition in the Easton Classic, taking on preseason top-25 DePaul and No. 7 Michigan twice each in the event at the Alabama Softball Complex in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Follow all the action on Gamecocks All-Access at GamecocksOnline.com.
