DES MOINES, Iowa – Gamecock athletes and alums concluded the final day of competition at the USA Outdoor Championships at Drake Stadium with Shalonda Solomon taking silver in the women’s 200-meter dash.

Solomon earned the silver medal in the women’s 200-meter dash at 22.47. In addition, Lisa Barber took sixth at 22.84. On the men’s side, Leroy Dixon placed fifth in the 200-meter dash and Rodney Martin placed eighth to give South Carolina affiliated athletes four competitors in the men’s and women’s 200-meter finals. Dixon ran 20.36 and Martin ran 20.60.

Former NCAA champion Jason Richardson took eighth in the 110-meter hurdle final with a time of 13.55. Earlier in the day he claimed third in the semifinals with a run of 13.39.
