COLUMBIA, S.C. –
Gamecock volleyball signee Hanna Forst added another honor to her impressive résumé, as the high school sports website MaxPreps named her to its All-America First Team.

The senior from Lenexa, Kan., was the Gatorade Player of the Year for her home state as well as the Kansas Volleyball Coaches Association 4A State Player of the Year. An outside hitter, Forst tallied 475 kills and 255 digs while leading St. James Academy to a 44-1 record and a No. 1 ranking according to PrepVolleyball.com.

Forst also earned Under Armour All-America first-team accolades from the American Volleyball Coaches Association, one of three Gamecock signees honored by that organization. Lexie Pawlik made the second team, while Christina Vereb earned honorable mentions.
