The South Carolina Gamecocks returned to the Bluff Road practice fields Tuesday afternoon. The squad worked out in pleasant spring-like conditions for about two hours. It was the squad’s first practice since its first official scrimmage of the spring on Saturday. Tuesday’s practice was the ninth of 15 scheduled spring practices.
Wide receiver DeAngelo Smith did not practice on Tuesday due to a sore foot. Walk-on running back Jacob Baker will miss the remainder of the spring after tearing the ACL in his right knee in Saturday’s scrimmage.
The Gamecocks will hold their annual Pro Timing Day on Wednesday. The event will begin at 10 a.m. in the weight room then, depending on the weather conditions, will either continue on the field at Williams-Brice Stadium or at the indoor practice facility.
The squad will return to the Bluff Road “Proving Grounds” on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. All practices are open to the public.
