COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina head coach Beverly Smith and her staff invite area players to register for a day of clinics on Sept. 25, with three different sessions designed to help youth players to improve their game.

The morning session features Position Play and Base Running for all infielders and outfielders. Speed and agility drills will be included during the base running part. Pitchers will learn the specific techniques to throw the drop ball, a great pitch to add to a repertoire. Both sessions begin at 10 a.m. EDT and are $55 per person.

For the afternoon clinic, the staff will teach the Absolutes of Hitting. The session will focus on swing technique, timing and other important elements that help build a successful offensive player. This clinic begins at 2 p.m. that Sunday, and it will also be $55.

More information and registration can be found at bevsmithsoftball.com.

These clinics are open to females 10-18 years of age, and there is limited space available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own equipment, and lunch will not be provided. Camps are open to all, limited only by gender, age, grade level and/or number of participants.
