The Gamecocks have been practicing for two full weeks now, spending a lot of time together on the field to add to their conditioning drills, time in the training room and many other daily activities. In those times, someone can learn a lot about others. So this week’s question to the group was: What is the new favorite thing you have learned about a teammate? Here are some of the responses.
Kierstyn White: I can’t pinpoint a single person, but I think I got closer and got to know each one of my sisters much better after our camping trip!
Shelby Gonzales: I’ve learned that if you see Lackey doing something odd, just to go with it. Don’t ask why, and smile because she’s hilarious.
Codee Yeske: I’ve enjoyed getting to see how much of a leader KJ (Kaela Jackson) can be. Even though she’s injured, she’s always working. If you come to our training or our practice, she’s working just as hard if not harder than we are. She’s always picking everyone up and setting an example. It took me less than a full practice to see her impact on the team, and I look up to her for the way she leads us.
Olivia Lawrence: How much fun it was to be in the group garnet and how easy it was to work together and get along
Kristen Struett: I’ve learned that Codee can beat box really well! Haha!
