COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina men’s soccer sophomore forward Bradlee Baladez has been named AgSouth Athlete of the Week.

Baladez, who has scored a goal in all five Conference USA matches this season, showed excellent play in two matches last week for South Carolina. The Dallas, Texas, native tallied his fifth goal of the season in a 3-2 loss to SMU on Wednesday, before propelling the Gamecocks to a 3-1 victory over Conference USA leader Marshall on Saturday, moving Carolina into first place in the C-USA standings. Baladez collected an assist on South Carolina’s first goal, and also a helper on teammate Braeden Troyer’s game-winning goal, before pushing the Gamecock lead to two goals with his team-leading sixth tally of the season in the 64th minute. Baladez paces the Gamecocks this season with six goals, three assists and 37 shots on the year.
