Baladez In Conference USA Play
South Carolina sophomore forward Bradlee Baladez, who has scored a goal in all five Conference USA matches this season, showed excellent play in two matches last week for South Carolina. The Dallas, Texas, native tallied his fifth goal of the season in a 3-2 loss to SMU on Wednesday, before propelling the Gamecocks to a 3-1 victory over Conference USA leader Marshall on Saturday, moving Carolina into first place in the C-USA standings. Baladez collected an assist on South Carolina’s first goal, and also a helper on teammate Braeden Troyer’s game-winning goal, before pushing the Gamecock lead to two goals with his team-leading sixth tally of the season in the 64th minute. Baladez paces the Gamecocks this season with six goals, three assists and 37 shots on the year.

Troyer Nets First Game Winner
South Carolina freshman midfielder Braeden Troyer netted the first game winner of his career on Saturday when he scored Carolina’s second goal in a 3-1 victory over then-C-USA leader Marshall. Troyer broke the 1-1 tie in the 62nd minute with his fourth goal of the year. Baladez played a through ball to freshman midfielder Niklas Kivinen who sailed a cross towards Troyer in front of net.

Series History
South Carolina owns an 8-7-1 advantage in the all-time series with NC State. The Gamecocks won the most recent meeting against NC State in 2010, 1-0, on a game-winning goal by Bradlee Baladez.
