COLUMBIA, S.C. – The first 200 South Carolina students to attend Friday’s NCAA women’s soccer tournament match between the Gamecocks and Texas will receive free admission complements of three chapters of the Gamecock Club.
With ticket prices set at $8 for adults and $5 for students, USC Faculty/Staff and youth (17 and under), the Richland County Chapter, Charleston County Chapter and Lexington County Chapter of the Gamecock Club decided to provide an avenue for students to come early and cheer for the team that won the 2011 SEC Regular Season title.
Students are to use the Whaley Street entrance of Stone Stadium and also will earn double rewards points for attending the last home match for the 2011 senior class that has won more games than any other class in Gamecock history. Their record of 60-23-10 ranks 15th in the nation in wins for all 2011 senior classes over the past four years.
The South Carolina-Texas game is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m., but students are encouraged to come early as – due to the interest the Athletic Department has received – the 200 tickets are expected to be used well before kickoff. Gates open at 6 p.m., and students must enter through the Whaley Street entrance of Stone Stadium.
As a reminder, all parking for South Carolina women’s soccer games is free. Fans are encouraged to use the new parking garage on Heyward Street for easy access to the stadium.
